What we collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address and the username you choose. As you use the app, we also store the rounds you score: the course name, the date, the player names you type in before each round, and your strokes per hole.
That's it. We don't track your location, access your contacts, read your photos, or collect anything else about your device.
How we store it
Your data is stored on secure cloud servers. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Your account data can only be read by you — and, if you choose, by friends you've approved in the app.
Who we share it with
Nobody, for marketing purposes. Full stop.
We rely on trusted cloud infrastructure to run the app. Those providers handle your data only as needed to operate the service — they are not data brokers and do not use your information for advertising. We will never sell your personal information or share it with third parties to target you with ads.
If we were ever required to disclose data by law (for example, a valid court order), we'd comply, but only with the minimum information required.
Friends and sharing
If you use the Friends feature, accepted friends can see a limited view of your saved rounds — the course and scores. You decide who you add. You can remove a friend or block a user at any time, and their access to your rounds is immediately revoked.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the app. When you do, we permanently delete your account, email address, username, all saved rounds, and all friend connections. There's no waiting period and no way to undo it — the deletion is immediate and complete.
Children
Linksman is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you're a parent or guardian and your child has created an account, you can remove it yourself at any time: open Settings in the app and tap Delete Account. This permanently deletes the account and everything saved in it, right away. If you need further assistance, feel free to contact support@linksman.golf.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a significant change — for example, if we start collecting a new type of data — we'll let you know through the app. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
Continued use of the app after a policy update means you accept the revised policy.
